As you may know, after being the service manager at Dumont Refrigeration for over 20 years, I am available to offer support for Dumont manufactured Zephyrs units. While Dumont’s is no longer in business, I am able to provide technical assistance, part quotation, sales, and field consultations for trouble shooting. Please advise your company associates, HVAC contractors, and direct customers that this service is available to them. System replacement is often looked at prematurely. Purchasing a new dehumidification system does not lend itself to dramatic improvements, as 95% of the components are the same, just extreme costs. After independently consulting for the past 6 years, it has been evident that Zephyr units can have a 30 plus year life. The maintenance of the unit is of utmost important. With proper maintenance and component replacement, it is much more cost effective to repair the existing unit, than it is incur the cost of replacement. Some original components are no longer manufactured, but, with the assistance of engineers, I have been able to substitute compatible components that meet or exceed original specifications. In some cases it has been noted that the Zephyr dehumidification system can be misunderstood. The technical aspects to efficient performance is unique to these units, resulting is costly service. It has been my experience that my consultation services generate a much better understanding of the unit resulting in quick and cost effective resolutions. I also have the ability to have a manufacturer contact you, in the event that replacement is necessary. In most cases I have the specifications for your individual unit allowing me to meet your specific needs. I sincerely look forward to answering any questions you may have.
